Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists are licensed healthcare professionals who provide care both independently and as part of a broader healthcare team. They take a patient-centered approach, using evidence-based knowledge in rehabilitation science, anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology to assess, treat, and manage pain, injuries, movement disorders, and chronic conditions.
The goal of physiotherapy is to support independence, promote well-being, and enhance quality of life for people of all ages and abilities across British Columbia.

Physiotherapists (also known as physical therapists) work closely with you to create a personalized treatment plan that helps you recover from injury or manage a health condition—so you can return to the activities and lifestyle you enjoy.
Physiotherapists treat individuals of all ages and address a wide range of health concerns. Whether you're recovering from an acute injury like a sprained ankle or managing a chronic condition such as heart disease or diabetes, a physiotherapist can help.

In addition to treatment, physiotherapists also focus on education, health promotion and strategies to prevent injury and illness.
